The Underwater Acoustics Research Group evolved from the Sonar and Signal Processing Research Group. As part of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Loughborough University research is conducted into many areas of underwater technology and we collaborate with other institutions worldwide.

The underwater Acoustics Group has recently merged within the Applied Signal Processing Group of Loughborough University, where the latest signal processing techniques are used to improved the field of underwater acoustics.
